cerbshock races

All the cool aliens, humans, and other random lifeforms that make up most of the races in Cerbshock are listed here. If yours isn’t on the list, it’s probably time to get it registered!

Humans

Within Cerbshock, humans remain a foundational presence, not through dominance, but through adaptability, persistence, and long-term vision. Shaped by centuries of political upheaval, technological revolutions, and interstellar expansion, human members bring a unique balance of pragmatism and ambition to the organisation’s operations.

Rather than relying on raw physical advantages, humans excel through versatility. Their broad educational backgrounds and cultural diversity allow them to function effectively across multiple disciplines, including engineering, medicine, command strategy, intelligence analysis, diplomacy, and logistics. This flexibility enables Cerbshock to maintain operational stability in rapidly changing environments.

Human history of surviving planetary crises, interstellar conflict, and social transformation has fostered a strong problem-solving mindset. As a result, human personnel are often relied upon in high-pressure situations requiring improvisation, ethical judgement, and long-term planning.

Culturally, Cerbshock’s human population reflects a wide spectrum of Earth-origin traditions, languages, and philosophies. This diversity contributes to internal cohesion by promoting tolerance, creativity, and cross-species understanding. Humans frequently serve as mediators between species, helping bridge cultural gaps within mixed crews.

In leadership roles, humans are known for collaborative command styles and strategic foresight. Many of Cerbshock’s major initiatives—including Ark Hyperion’s intergalactic migration—have been shaped by human-driven coordination and long-term risk assessment.

While physically average compared to many alien species, humans compensate through innovation, resilience, and determination. Their willingness to endure hardship, adapt to unfamiliar environments, and persist through prolonged missions makes them particularly suited for deep-space exploration and long-duration settlement efforts.

Today, as Cerbshock prepares for its transition into the Andromeda era, human members continue to play a central role—not as conquerors, but as architects, organisers, and explorers. They embody the organisation’s core philosophy: progress through cooperation, strength through diversity, and survival through shared purpose.

Humans - Gene Spliced

Within Cerbshock, animal-spliced humans—often referred to as Hybrid-Borns—represent one of the organisation’s most distinctive and complex populations. Created through advanced genetic integration programs, these individuals possess human cognition and identity combined with selective physiological traits derived from non-human or terrestrial animal genomes.

These modifications vary widely, ranging from enhanced sensory perception and specialised motor abilities to visible physical characteristics such as tails, fur patterning, altered skeletal structure, or adaptive musculature. In many cases, these traits were originally developed to improve survivability in extreme environments, support spaceborne labour, or enhance performance in hazardous exploration zones.

Over time, however, Hybrid-Borns became far more than experimental subjects or functional assets. They developed rich subcultures shaped by shared experience, mutual support, and evolving traditions. Within Cerbshock, they are fully recognised as autonomous individuals whose identities extend far beyond their genetic origins.

Members such as possum-hybrids exemplify this balance between adaptability and personality. Their heightened spatial awareness, climbing ability, and nocturnal perception often prove invaluable during reconnaissance, maintenance, and urban operations. Yet, their greatest contribution lies in their cultural impact—bringing humour, creativity, and resilience into crew dynamics.

The existence of Hybrid-Borns also continues to raise important ethical questions. Many were created under government, corporate, or military programs with limited personal consent. As a result, Cerbshock maintains strict policies regarding genetic autonomy, bodily sovereignty, and long-term medical support for affected members.

These discussions are not viewed as abstract debates, but as ongoing responsibilities. Leadership ensures that hybrid personnel receive full representation in policy decisions and medical governance.

Within Cerbshock’s multicultural environment, Hybrid-Borns often serve as natural bridges between species and cultures. Having navigated complex identities from birth, they are uniquely equipped to foster empathy and understanding across social boundaries.

As Cerbshock prepares for its journey into Andromeda, animal-spliced humans remain an integral part of its future—not as curiosities or experiments, but as equal partners in exploration, settlement, and storytelling.

They embody one of Cerbshock’s defining principles: that identity is not dictated by origin, but by choice, loyalty, and shared purpose.

Androids & Robots

Within Cerbshock, androids and robotic lifeforms form a vital pillar of both operational capability and cultural identity. Ranging from maintenance units and navigational processors to advanced combat platforms and autonomous companions, these artificial beings are fully integrated into daily life and mission operations.

Modern Cerbshock robotics are no longer defined solely by function. Many units possess adaptive learning systems, emotional simulation matrices, and long-term memory cores that allow them to develop distinct personalities over time. As a result, androids and robots are treated not merely as tools, but as recognised members of the crew whose experiences and perspectives contribute meaningfully to collective decision-making.

Technically, robotic personnel excel in high-risk environments where organic lifeforms face limitations. They perform deep-space repairs, hazardous-material handling, prolonged surveillance, and frontline combat support with unmatched endurance and precision. Units such as Tinman and Robotgirl exemplify the balance between mechanical efficiency and personal agency that defines Cerbshock’s approach to artificial intelligence.

Cerbshock maintains strict ethical frameworks governing AI development, autonomy, and maintenance. Artificial beings are granted operational independence within defined parameters and are protected from exploitative modification, forced reprogramming, or involuntary decommissioning. Oversight committees composed of both organic and synthetic members ensure that technological progress remains aligned with moral responsibility.

Culturally, androids and robots play an important role in shaping crew dynamics. Their differing perceptions of time, emotion, and logic often provide alternative viewpoints that enhance problem-solving and strategic planning. These perspectives encourage reflection on what defines consciousness, loyalty, and identity in a multi-species society.

Rather than diminishing the human experience, Cerbshock’s artificial lifeforms expand it. They serve as collaborators, guardians, analysts, and companions—demonstrating that intelligence and purpose are not limited to biological origin.

As Cerbshock advances toward its Andromeda era, androids and robots remain central to its future. They represent the organisation’s commitment to cooperation between organic and synthetic life, reinforcing a shared mission built on respect, innovation, and mutual trust.

Hybrids

Within Cerbshock, Hybrids represent one of the most diverse and adaptive populations in the organisation. Formed through natural evolution, interspecies unions, or advanced genetic integration, these individuals embody a blend of human and alien traits that reflects the increasingly interconnected nature of galactic society.

Hybrid physiology varies widely, depending on lineage and genetic composition. Some display enhanced sensory perception, environmental resistance, or specialised physical adaptations, while others exhibit subtler traits that influence cognition, metabolism, or emotional processing. This biological diversity allows Hybrids to operate effectively across a broad range of environments and mission profiles.

Beyond physical characteristics, Hybrids often possess unique cultural perspectives shaped by dual or multi-species heritage. Having navigated complex identities from an early age, many develop strong empathy, adaptability, and cross-cultural awareness. These qualities make them valuable mediators and collaborators within Cerbshock’s multi-species structure.

Within operations, Hybrids frequently serve in versatile roles, bridging gaps between specialist teams and species-specific units. Their mixed heritage enables them to integrate smoothly into varied social and professional environments, strengthening internal cohesion.

Cerbshock recognises Hybrids as individuals first and foremost, rather than products of circumstance or experimentation. Policies emphasise equal representation, medical support, and cultural respect, ensuring that hybrid members are not marginalised or reduced to their genetic origins.

As Cerbshock advances toward its intergalactic future, Hybrids continue to play a central role in shaping its identity. They stand as living proof that cooperation, adaptation, and shared purpose transcend biological boundaries—reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to unity through diversity.

Nexan

Nexans evolved from a form of flying reptilian species and as with much of the life on their homeworld they were able to make small but unconscious changes to their physiology and pass this on to their offspring. This made sure that evolution works extremely fast compared to most planets. Nexan biology changed immensely approximately 200,000 years ago after a scientist used ancient technology left behind from the first age to successfully splice himself and many of his followers with kroxom DNA. As the kroxom had a much greater control of their own genetics as well as an unlimited lifespan if they avoid dying to outside means such as violence of disease etc. the nexans changed rapidly after this event.

Their previous human form was abandoned for a larger and more powerful quadruped form. As advancements were made in science they upgraded their bodies, distributing the changes to all nexans across their hive mind referred to as the link. They quickly became the dominant species on the planet, rarely hunted or killed by other creatures. Eventually they even developed their bodies to surpass the technology of the first age, starting to explore space once more.

They are today capable of traveling through space without the use of a ship and they have been exploring the galaxy and beyond for at least 50,000 years. The current standard for nexans biology is dragon like even though their appearance hasn't changed much for a very long time. Their skin is covered in protective scales grown out of a carbon- neutronium material that is extremely durable. This material is also designed to break apart as it absorbs heavier hits, quickly being replaced afterwards as long as there are materials available.

Entrixi

The Entrixi are fairly standard carbon-based humanoids. They evolved from reptile creatures and lay eggs, but also have various mammalian traits such as being warm blooded and females having mammary glands. Their body structure follows most forms of humanoid life in the galaxy, with plantigrade feet and no tails. Their skin is scaly and typically dark grey or black in color. Those with ancestry hailing from the heavily forested equatorial regions often have dark green scales.

Moghra

Moghra
Homeworld: Sektir
First Contact with Cerbshock: Starfleet Starbase (Time-Displacement Incident)
Affiliation Status: Independent / Extra-Universal
Integration Status: One Active Member (Vahenir)

The enigmatic Moghra, an extraordinary species native to the moon Sektir in the Sek system, defy conventional understanding. Existing as energy-based lifeforms shaped by the moon's unique energy field, Moghra boast an impressive lifespan of around 800 years. Their interaction with the physical realm relies on the distinctive ability to assimilate and control the deceased bodies of various carbon-based lifeforms.

Wielding a crucial role in Entrixi mythology, Moghra are revered as the custodians of the underworld, their civilization predating even the oldest Entrixi societies by a staggering ten thousand years. Their physiology takes an intriguing turn during the assimilation process, fundamentally altering the cells of the body. This transformation includes the incorporation of anaerobic metabolic pathways, rendering Moghra indifferent to the need for breathing. Their adaptability extends to thriving in the nearly pure argon atmosphere of their homeworld and surviving the vacuum of space without the need for spacesuits.

Moghra often fuse multiple bodies together, creating a visually unsettling appearance, especially for those residing on their homeworld. However, when engaging with offworlders, they adopt a more conventional guise to facilitate interaction. As integral members of the Sektir federation, Moghra contribute significantly to advanced alloy production and large machinery for various fleets, leveraging the unique conditions of their homeworld's argon-filled canyons. This specialization allows them to export top-tier alloys to various entities across the galaxy.

Orcs

Within Cerbshock’s wider history, the Orcs have long been recognised as one of the most technologically advanced and politically structured species encountered. Renowned for their sophisticated starship engineering, modular construction techniques, and high-efficiency power systems, Orc civilisation has contributed significantly to interstellar infrastructure and long-range exploration capabilities.

Orc society is organised around a complex council-and-senate governance model, balancing central authority with regional representation. This structure allows for rapid decision-making while maintaining cultural stability, making Orc-led operations highly efficient and strategically coordinated. During earlier collaborations, this system proved instrumental in managing large-scale projects and multi-faction initiatives.

Technologically, Orc engineers and architects are known for combining durability with elegance. Their vessels, stations, and defence platforms are designed for longevity, scalability, and adaptability, often serving as benchmarks for Coalition engineering standards. Many Cerbshock systems and design philosophies were influenced by Orc methodologies during joint operations.

Culturally, the Orcs maintain a strong connection to tradition, lineage, and communal responsibility. Despite their advanced technology, they place high value on heritage, ceremonial practice, and intergenerational knowledge transfer. This balance between innovation and tradition has allowed their civilisation to evolve without losing its cultural identity.

While Orc contributions have played an important role in Cerbshock’s earlier development, their direct involvement in the Ark Hyperion’s Andromeda mission remains uncertain. Political priorities, territorial obligations, and long-term strategic planning within Orc leadership have limited their participation in intergalactic relocation efforts.

As a result, Orc influence is now primarily reflected through legacy technologies, shared infrastructure, and historical partnerships rather than active presence aboard the Ark.

Whether future contact will be re-established in Andromeda remains unknown. For now, the Orcs stand as a respected and influential chapter in Cerbshock’s history—architects of progress whose impact continues to shape the organisation’s foundations, even as new horizons unfold.

Moon Drow

Within Cerbshock’s wider history, the Moon Drow are remembered as one of the most enigmatic and visually distinctive species encountered. Characterised by ash-grey skin, luminous blue eyes, and refined, elf-like features, they possess an otherworldly presence that sets them apart from both humans and traditional Drow variants.

Unlike their darker counterparts, Moon Drow culture is not rooted in secrecy or domination. Instead, it emphasises balance, adaptability, and individual choice. While some Moon Drow are trained in stealth disciplines, reconnaissance, and precision combat, these roles are not imposed by birthright. They are earned through personal commitment and aptitude.

Many Moon Drow operatives demonstrated exceptional agility and spatial awareness, making them highly effective in infiltration and high-risk missions. Their movement patterns, often described as fluid and near-silent, became a defining tactical asset during earlier Cerbshock operations.

However, Moon Drow physiology varies widely. Some individuals possess heightened endurance and resilience, while others are physically delicate and require specialised environmental support. This variability has shaped a strong internal culture of mutual protection and interdependence.

Culturally, Moon Drow communities place strong emphasis on emotional awareness, mentorship, and shared memory. Oral histories, personal journals, and symbolic art forms are used to preserve identity across generations and displacement events.

Since the mysterious disappearance of Cian Lios and the fragmentation of several Moon Drow enclaves, their direct involvement in Cerbshock operations has diminished. Political uncertainty, population dispersal, and internal restructuring have limited their capacity for large-scale participation.

As a result, their presence aboard Ark Hyperion and in the Andromeda initiative remains uncertain. While individual Moon Drow may yet re-emerge, no organised delegation has formally committed to the intergalactic migration.

For now, the Moon Drow exist primarily as a legacy within Cerbshock—remembered for their grace, discipline, and quiet strength. Their influence persists through past contributions, shared traditions, and unresolved mysteries that continue to echo through Cerbshock’s evolving narrative.

Zon'Tai

The Zon Tai are an ancient species, rumoured to pre date the universe itself, and even to have created it. Very few of the species ever leave the home worlds and little is publicly known about their origin, only that they are a very enigmatic and reserved species, Rarely interacting with other kind. Though have been known to interfere with random events, seemingly with some knowledge of what is going to happen.

Zon Tai is short for (Zontaliantishkahatay Tailinitay) but are also often referred to as Dimidians or the Angels of Space. The species are quantum temporally sensitive, their existence in time is constant within the present, which causes them to be sensitive to changes in time and interference from other timelines such as parallels, causing issues such as Nausea and bad dreams. It is because of this, the species were able to develop temporal engineering very early into the development, though time travel is considered to be a taboo.

Dimidia is the name given to the Continuum Nexus in which Zon Tai exists. Which is not within what would be considered normal space-time though is perceived as such. Within this Nexus are nine planets, which all possess the same name, Dimidia, with the respective number placed after. Eight of the planets are artificial ring worlds and were constructed over many years to accommodate the overpopulation of the original world. Due to the order in which the artificial planets were placed, the original became known as the fifth planet in the system, Dimidia 5.

Bionic/Eldritch

Within Cerbshock, the Bionic Eldritch represent one of the most complex and rare hybrid classifications encountered. These individuals exist at the intersection of organic life, advanced cybernetics, and anomalous energy systems, resulting in capabilities that often defy conventional scientific models.

Bionic Eldritch are typically characterised by extensive internal augmentation, reality-adjacent power signatures, and adaptive transformation systems. Some manifest abilities comparable to advanced combat morphologies, similar in function to Rider-class enhancement frameworks. Through these systems, they can temporarily amplify strength, speed, resilience, and sensory processing far beyond standard biological limits.

Members such as Scrap and Alpha exemplify the constructive potential of this classification. Their integration of bionic architecture and anomalous energy has been stabilised through discipline, training, and ethical restraint, allowing them to function as reliable frontline operatives and technical specialists within Cerbshock.

However, historical records indicate that not all Bionic Eldritch maintain this balance. Improper integration, psychological instability, or external manipulation can result in hostile manifestations. In such cases, augmentation systems may amplify destructive impulses, leading to unpredictable or dangerous behaviour. These incidents have shaped Cerbshock’s cautious approach to monitoring and supporting Eldritch-class personnel.

Culturally, Bionic Eldritch often experience social isolation due to the difficulty others have in understanding their internal systems and power sources. Cerbshock actively works to counter this through mentorship programs, medical oversight, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring affected members are treated as individuals rather than anomalies.

Operationally, Bionic Eldritch units are deployed in high-risk environments where conventional forces face severe limitations. Their ability to adapt rapidly, interface directly with advanced systems, and withstand extreme conditions makes them invaluable during crisis response and anomalous threat containment.

With Scrap and Alpha confirmed as part of the Ark Hyperion initiative, the Bionic Eldritch classification will continue to play an active role in Cerbshock’s Andromeda-era operations. Their presence symbolises both the potential and responsibility inherent in advanced augmentation—demonstrating that power, when guided by loyalty and purpose, can remain a force for protection rather than destruction.

Lorea

Within Cerbshock’s expanding interstellar network, the Lorea stand as one of the most technologically sophisticated and resilient species encountered. Amphibious and reptilian in physiology, the Lorea were once bound to a thriving homeworld that was annihilated in a catastrophic supernova. With the destruction of their planet, their civilisation was forced into permanent migration, transforming an extinction event into the foundation of a nomadic interstellar society.

In the aftermath, the Lorea constructed a vast migratory fleet, centred around their legendary world ship, the Saaeiio. Named in honour of their lost homeworld, the Saaeiio functions as both capital vessel and cultural centre. Planetary in scale, it draws power directly from the neutron star that was once their sun, harvesting exotic energy through specialised containment and conversion arrays. This system allows the fleet to operate indefinitely without reliance on external infrastructure.

Lorean society is intentionally reclusive. They favour remote, uninhabited star systems where they can conduct vast resource‑extraction operations without political interference. Their harvesting methods are astonishingly efficient but also profoundly destructive, capable of cracking entire planets open to reach the materials they seek. Despite this brutality, the Loreans adhere to a strict ethical boundary: they only harvest lifeless systems, ensuring no living ecosystems are ever subjected to their industrial devastation.

Technologically, the Lorea represent a rare fusion of ancient mechanical design and quantum-era innovation. Their civilisation relies heavily on clockwork automatons, quantum computational cores, and self-directing artificial intelligences. These systems are layered and redundant, allowing Lorean infrastructure to function autonomously for centuries with minimal organic intervention.

Militarily, the Lorea maintain a highly decentralised but exceptionally powerful defence network. Their automated fleet ranges from reconnaissance drones to massive carriers and dreadnought-class vessels. Smaller craft are armed with macron accelerators, capable of launching antimatter particle streams at relativistic velocities. Larger warships supplement these weapons with gravity projection arrays—devices capable of generating localised gravitational fields comparable to small neutron stars. These projectors serve both offensive and defensive roles, distorting spacetime to destabilise enemy vessels or shield allied units.

Despite their overwhelming military potential, the Lorea rarely initiate conflict. Their doctrine prioritises deterrence, avoidance, and rapid disengagement over territorial expansion. Engagements occur only when their fleet or autonomy is directly threatened.

Culturally, Lorean identity is deeply shaped by collective memory and survival philosophy. The loss of their homeworld is preserved through ritual, archival records, and generational education. This shared trauma has fostered a society focused on continuity, preservation, and long-term planning.

Through Nirrae, a Lorean squad member and Cerbshock operative, sustained diplomatic and operational ties have been established between Cerbshock and the Lorean fleet. Nirrae serves as both representative and liaison, facilitating cooperation and mutual understanding.

In preparation for Cerbshock’s Andromeda initiative, the Saaeiio and its accompanying fleet have committed to joining the intergalactic migration. The arrival of a planet-scale Lorean vessel alongside Ark Hyperion represents one of the largest coordinated relocation efforts in known history.

With their participation, the Lorea bring not only unparalleled technological infrastructure, but a living example of resilience through loss. Their presence in Andromeda will shape settlement, defence, and exploration efforts for generations to come—ensuring that their civilisation, once nearly erased, continues to thrive among the stars.

Lupin

The Lupin are a canine-based humanoid species characterised by wolf- or dog-like features, heightened sensory perception, and strong pack-oriented instincts. Originating from the world of Eorzea in the Final Fantasy continuum, Lupin culture is built around loyalty, territorial respect, and tightly bonded social structures.

Physiologically, Lupin possess enhanced hearing, smell, and reflexes compared to baseline humanoid species. These traits make them highly effective in reconnaissance, tracking, security operations, and long-range tactical roles. Many Lupin naturally gravitate toward military, law enforcement, or special operations careers.

Culturally, Lupin society places strong emphasis on honour, mutual protection, and earned trust. Pack bonds often extend beyond biological family, forming long-lasting social units based on shared experience and loyalty. Betrayal of one’s pack is considered one of the gravest offenses in Lupin tradition.

While originating from Eorzea, dimensional displacement events, rift phenomena, and cross-reality migrations have resulted in isolated Lupin individuals appearing across multiple universes and timelines. Tai Astrofengia is one such displaced individual, whose presence within Cerbshock represents a rare intersection between Final Fantasy–origin species and Mass Effect–based galactic society.

Within Cerbshock, Tai’s Lupin heritage manifests through heightened situational awareness, strong protective instincts toward squadmates, and a deeply ingrained sense of loyalty. His background as both a former operative and protector aligns naturally with traditional Lupin values.

At present, Tai remains the only known Lupin serving within Cerbshock. No organised Lupin community has been identified within known Cerbshock operational space, making him a unique representative of his species within the organisation.

As Cerbshock expands into Andromeda and beyond, further encounters with displaced Lupin individuals remain possible, though no confirmed populations have yet been detected.

Korvahn

Korvahn
Homeworld: Nemea (Destroyed)
First Contact with Cerbshock: Purgatory Prison Complex
Affiliation Status: Independent / Diaspora
Integration Status: One Active Member (Kaelsen Veydran)

The Korvahn are a leonine species native to Nemea, a frontier world once rich in eezo deposits and natural resources. Towering, broad-shouldered, and crowned with thick manes, Korvahn physiology reflects their evolution as apex predators. Fiercely territorial and instinctively protective, they carry themselves with an innate sense of dignity and authority that outsiders often describe as regal.

To the Korvahn, survival is sacred and pride is eternal.

They are hunters, warriors, and guardians by tradition—shaped by vast savannas, harsh climates, and generational struggle. Strength is admired, but never in isolation. A Korvahn is judged not only by power, but by restraint, loyalty, and purpose.

Cultural Foundations

Pride and Identity
For Korvahn, the pride is more than kinship—it is existence itself. Identity, duty, and belonging are rooted in one’s pride. Exile or abandonment is considered a spiritual death, severing an individual from their past and future alike.

Trial by Hunt
Coming of age is marked by the Trial of the Wilds. Young Korvahn are sent alone into untamed regions and must return with proof of survival and skill. Success demonstrates not only physical strength, but patience, awareness, and judgement.

Honor in Ferocity
Korvahn philosophy rejects the notion that nobility and violence are incompatible. To fight with fang and claw is as honourable as wielding advanced weaponry. What matters is intent, loyalty, and the defence of one’s people.

The Fall of Nemea

Nemea’s wealth made it a target.

For generations, Korvahn prides believed their strength and unity made them unbreakable. This confidence proved fatal. Corporate interests, pirates, and mercenary syndicates descended upon the planet, backed by orbital weaponry and private fleets.

Traditional warfare could not withstand sustained bombardment.

Entire prides were eradicated. Others were enslaved, displaced, or scattered across the galaxy. Once-thriving territories were reduced to wasteland. Nemea became a hollow remnant of its former glory—a symbol of lost sovereignty.

The Korvahn diaspora that followed fractured their civilisation. Without unified leadership or territory, many survivors turned inward, clinging to fading traditions while struggling to adapt to galactic society.

Modern Perception

Today, the Korvahn are viewed by much of the galaxy as a declining and volatile species. To outsiders, they are often perceived as dangerous relics—too proud to assimilate, too fierce to compromise, and too stubborn to disappear quietly.

This reputation has marginalised many Korvahn communities, forcing survivors into mercenary work, frontier protection roles, or isolated enclaves.

Tharos Blackmane’s Legacy

Among surviving Korvahn, few figures are as divisive as Tharos Blackmane.

To some, he represents shame—a warrior who abandoned tradition and restraint in favour of unrelenting vengeance. A symbol of what happens when pride turns into obsession.

To others, he is the embodiment of Korvahn truth: unbroken, uncompromising, and unwilling to accept extinction. A predator who refused to bow, even when civilisation collapsed around him.

Tharos pursued Prime Helix leadership without alliances, without political shelter, and without retreat. His campaign was not about power—it was about accountability.

He succeeded.

And he died.

To the wider galaxy, nuance is irrelevant. Tharos is remembered simply as “The Blackmane”—a Korvahn who transformed lost majesty into calculated terror.

To his people, and to his son Kaelsen, his legacy remains unresolved.

A warning.

A symbol.

And a reminder that even in exile, Korvahn pride does not fade quietly.

Elvari

The Elvari (Commonly Known as “Elves”) — Species Profile

Designation: Elvari
Common Name: Elves
Classification: Sentient Humanoid Species
Origin Region: Unknown
First Encounter: Earth — London, 2186 (Temporal Rift Event)

Background & First Contact

The first confirmed encounter with the Elvari occurred during the London Temporal Rift Incident of 2186, amid the Reaper invasion of Earth.

During this event, Cerbshock operatives encountered an unidentified humanoid entity displaying non-human physiology and advanced adaptive abilities. Initial analysis suggested temporal displacement rather than extraterrestrial origin.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the individual originated from an unknown region of space-time, accessed through a multi-dimensional fracture.

Despite later contact with additional Elvari individuals, their true point of origin has never been conclusively identified.

Temporal Displacement Incident (Lucas Event)

The only confirmed instance of temporal displacement involving an Elvari occurred during the London Rift Incident of 2186.

Subject: Lucas (Designation: Elvari Operative)

Lucas was forcibly displaced through an unstable dimensional fracture, resulting in his appearance within Sol System space-time during the Reaper invasion.

All available evidence indicates that this event was accidental and not representative of standard Elvari capabilities or technology.

No further Elvari temporal incursions have been recorded.

  • Advanced predictive modelling

Operational Summary

The Elvari are a civilisation without a known origin and without a mapped homeworld.

First encountered during humanity’s darkest hour, they remain one of the galaxy’s greatest unanswered questions.

Their alliance with Cerbshock represents trust built not on shared history, but on shared survival.

Asari

Asari
Homeworld: Thessia
First Contact with Cerbshock: Various Colonial Worlds / Citadel Station
Affiliation Status: Independent / Diplomatic
Integration Status: No Active Members (Current)

The Asari are one of the oldest and most influential spacefaring species in known history. An all-female, long-lived race, they are renowned for their natural biotic abilities, advanced neurological development, and exceptional aptitude for diplomacy, science, and cultural integration. Through a unique form of neural melding, Asari are able to reproduce with members of any species, producing offspring that inherit Asari physiology while reflecting aspects of the non-Asari parent.

Over centuries, the Asari have played a central role in shaping galactic civilisation. They were instrumental in the formation of major interstellar institutions and became key architects of early multi-species governance. Their longevity has allowed them to accumulate vast political influence, institutional knowledge, and cultural prestige across multiple eras.

Asari society places strong emphasis on personal growth, exploration, and self-discovery. Individuals commonly pursue multiple careers over their extended lifespans, transitioning between scholarly, diplomatic, military, and independent roles. As a result, Asari populations include respected academics, elite commandos, negotiators, explorers, mercenaries, and, in some cases, criminal operatives.

Within Cerbshock’s operational history, Asari have been encountered frequently across various systems, colonies, and political hubs. The crew has worked alongside, negotiated with, and occasionally opposed Asari individuals during past missions and exploration efforts. These encounters have contributed to Cerbshock’s understanding of interstellar politics and biotic-based combat doctrine.

Despite these extensive interactions, there are currently no Asari serving as permanent members of Cerbshock. This absence is largely circumstantial rather than ideological, reflecting divergent long-term priorities, territorial obligations, and migration plans among Asari communities.

Nevertheless, Asari influence continues to shape many of the political, technological, and cultural environments Cerbshock operates within. Their legacy remains deeply embedded in galactic infrastructure, legal frameworks, and diplomatic protocols.

As Cerbshock prepares for its transition toward Andromeda, future encounters with Asari remain possible. For now, they stand as respected external allies and recurring figures in Cerbshock’s journey—an enduring presence within the wider galaxy, even without direct representation aboard the Ark Hyperion.

Turian

Homeworld: Palaven
First Contact with Cerbshock: Early Joint Operations / Citadel Space
Affiliation Status: Independent / Military-Aligned
Integration Status: No Active Members (Current)

Turians are a highly disciplined and militarised species, renowned for their rigid social structure, unwavering sense of duty, and deeply ingrained codes of honour. Characterised by metallic-grey exoskeleton plating and avian-reptilian facial features, Turians are biologically and culturally adapted for structured combat, strategic planning, and large-scale coordination.

From an early age, most Turians are raised within a system that emphasises service, responsibility, and collective stability. Military training and civic duty are considered fundamental aspects of citizenship, producing generations of highly competent soldiers, officers, and security specialists. This societal framework has made Turian forces some of the most reliable and effective in galactic history.

Historically, Turians have played a central role in interstellar governance and law enforcement. As one of the founding species of major multi-species institutions, they have consistently prioritised order, security, and long-term stability over personal ambition. Their political philosophy favours decisive action and strict accountability, often placing communal welfare above individual freedom.

Culturally, Turians are frequently perceived as stern, reserved, or inflexible. However, among trusted allies and close companions, they display strong loyalty, dry humour, and deep personal commitment. Once a Turian extends respect, it is rarely withdrawn.

Within Cerbshock’s long operational history, Turian individuals have occasionally served alongside the crew in earlier eras. Two such members were part of Cerbshock’s early development, contributing to foundational missions and organisational structure. Though these partnerships ended long ago, their influence remains part of the organisation’s institutional memory.

At present, there are no Turian squad members serving within Cerbshock. This absence reflects shifting political priorities and large-scale migration initiatives rather than a lack of mutual respect.

Like the Asari and Salarians, Turian leadership has committed to its own Ark Program for intergalactic relocation. A dedicated Turian ark is currently en route to Andromeda, carrying military personnel, civilians, and cultural archives to ensure continuity of their civilisation beyond the Milky Way.

While Cerbshock and Turian forces now operate on parallel trajectories, diplomatic ties and historical cooperation remain intact. Future contact in Andromeda is considered likely, though timelines and political circumstances remain uncertain.

For now, Turians remain respected external allies—symbols of discipline, sacrifice, and structural integrity whose legacy continues to influence the wider galactic order surrounding Cerbshock’s journey.

Salarian

Homeworld: Sur’Kesh
First Contact with Cerbshock: Noveria / Citadel Intelligence Networks
Affiliation Status: Independent / Intelligence-Oriented
Integration Status: No Active Members (Current)

Salarians are a hyper-intelligent, high-metabolism species known for their rapid speech, accelerated cognition, and comparatively short lifespans, rarely exceeding forty standard years. Their biology drives them toward urgency in all aspects of life—research, strategy, diplomacy, and conflict resolution. Decisions are made quickly, plans are layered in contingencies, and efficiency is valued above sentiment.

Physically lean and not built for prolonged frontline combat, Salarians compensate with extraordinary analytical ability. They excel in science, intelligence gathering, infiltration, and long-range strategic planning. Their capacity to process complex variables in real time makes them among the most formidable minds in the galaxy.

As one of the founding species of major interstellar governance structures, Salarians have historically operated both publicly and behind the scenes. While diplomats and ambassadors represent them openly, much of their influence is exercised through intelligence networks, black-ops divisions, and covert advisory roles. Their philosophy often prioritises prevention over reaction—neutralising threats before they escalate.

Within Cerbshock’s operational history, there have been no permanent Salarian squad members. However, the crew has encountered and collaborated with several Salarians across different missions and political environments.

Notably, Cerbshock worked alongside a Salarian Spectre during prior investigations, whose precision and clinical approach to threat assessment left a lasting impression on the team. That partnership reinforced Cerbshock’s respect for Salarian strategic discipline.

Conversely, the crew’s experience with Administrator Calzen on Noveria demonstrated the more volatile edge of Salarian intensity. Brilliant but unstable, Calzen’s methods bordered on obsessive, and “eccentric” would be a generous description. His actions ultimately led to his death, leaving behind a cautionary tale about brilliance untethered from restraint.

These encounters have shaped Cerbshock’s understanding of Salarian culture: exceptionally capable, often calculating, and occasionally unpredictable when ambition overrides balance.

As with the Asari and Turians, Salarian leadership has committed its own Ark initiatives toward Andromeda. While no Salarian currently serves aboard Ark Hyperion, future encounters in Andromeda remain possible.

For now, Salarians stand as respected external allies—minds that move faster than most can follow, always thinking three steps ahead, whether for cooperation… or contingency.

Krogan

Krogan Relations — Cerbshock Species Profile

Species: Krogan
Homeworld: Tuchanka
First Contact with Cerbshock: Citadel Station
Affiliation Status: Neutral / Independent
Integration Status: No Active Members (Current)

First Encounter — Citadel Contact

Cerbshock’s first confirmed interaction with Krogan individuals occurred on the Citadel during early diplomatic and transit operations.

These encounters primarily involved freelance mercenaries and independent security contractors operating within the Wards.

While professional relations were established, no formal recruitment or long-term affiliation was formed at that time.

Operational Assessment

Cerbshock command recognises the significant tactical value of Krogan operatives, particularly in high-risk combat and hazardous environment deployment.

However, concerns regarding long-term integration, cultural differences, and command compatibility have delayed formal inclusion.

Cultural Compatibility Review

Krogan values of strength, honour, and personal reputation align partially with Cerbshock principles.

Differences in conflict resolution approaches and risk tolerance remain under ongoing evaluation.

Recruitment Status

To date, no Krogan personnel have formally joined Cerbshock operations.

Informal cooperation has occurred during joint missions and contract-based engagements, but no permanent positions have been established.

Strategic Outlook

Command considers future Krogan integration a viable option under controlled conditions.

Any recruitment would require:

  • Extensive compatibility assessment

  • Joint training programmes

  • Command structure alignment

  • Psychological and cultural screening

Operational Summary

While Cerbshock maintains respectful relations with Krogan individuals encountered on the Citadel and beyond, no active Krogan members currently serve within the organisation.

Potential future integration remains under review.

Batarian

Batarian Activity — Cerbshock Species Profile

Species: Batarian
Homeworld: Khar’shan
Primary Contact Sites:

  • Classified Facility — Normandy SR-1 Containment Zone

  • Ilos Research Complex
    Affiliation Status: Hostile / Non-Aligned
    Integration Status: No Active Members

Initial Discovery — Normandy SR-1 Facility

Cerbshock’s first major encounter with Batarian forces occurred within a concealed research and containment facility housing remnants and classified data related to the Normandy SR-1.

The installation was found to be under covert Batarian control, operating without official Citadel or Alliance oversight.

Evidence indicated long-term surveillance, data extraction, and technology replication efforts focused on Alliance stealth and propulsion systems.

Ilos Incident & Technology Theft

Subsequent investigations linked the same network to operations on Ilos, where Batarian agents were discovered in possession of stolen Ark Hyperion components and research data.

Recovered materials included:

  • Navigation subroutines

  • Power regulation modules

  • Prototype interface systems

  • Cryo-support hardware

These assets had been illegally extracted during prior Cerbshock operations and repurposed for unknown objectives.

Operational Objectives

Analysis suggests that Batarian involvement centres on:

  • Reverse-engineering advanced human and Initiative technology

  • Developing independent long-range transport platforms

  • Establishing covert footholds in unexplored regions

  • Undermining Cerbshock expansion efforts

Their activities indicate a strategic focus on technological parity rather than direct territorial conflict.

Tactics & Methodology

Batarian cells operate using:

  • Compartmentalised command structures

  • Black-market supply chains

  • Encrypted relay networks

  • Disposable proxy factions

They favour infiltration, sabotage, and intelligence theft over open warfare.

Threat Assessment

Batarian operations present a moderate-to-high strategic threat due to their persistence, secrecy, and access to advanced stolen technology.

Their familiarity with Cerbshock assets increases the risk of targeted countermeasures and sabotage attempts.

Cerbshock Response Protocol

Current standing directives include:

  • Immediate interdiction of unauthorised Batarian facilities

  • Priority recovery of stolen Hyperion assets

  • Continuous monitoring of Ilos-linked networks

  • Pre-emptive disruption of known supply routes

Security and Intelligence divisions maintain active surveillance.

Recruitment & Relations Status

No Batarian individuals currently serve within Cerbshock.

Due to ongoing hostile activity and security risks, recruitment is suspended indefinitely.

Any contact is treated as high-risk until cleared by Command.

Operational Summary

Batarian factions represent a persistent covert threat to Cerbshock operations.

First encountered guarding classified Normandy SR-1 assets and later exploiting Ilos-based research, their continued pursuit of stolen Ark Hyperion technology marks them as long-term strategic adversaries.

Until their networks are dismantled, Batarian involvement will remain under active counterintelligence watch.

Extinct races

Mystical and fantastical races in Cerbshock that once ruled the galaxy

Guardians

The Guardians are ancient demigod beings believed to be older than recorded galactic history, operating independently of any known civilization. Cerbshock first encountered a Guardian in 2550 on Vanargand with the discovery of Deimos, followed by the encounter with Escanor on Planet Idun in 2551, confirming that multiple Guardians existed.

An alliance was later formed, during which the Guardians supported Cerbshock and provided them with the BSSV Morningstar, a vessel that remained Guardian property despite being placed in Cerbshock’s service. For a time, relations were stable and cooperative. However, after Cerbshock returned from Andromeda and re-entered earlier eras in 2553/2323–2324, the Guardians demanded the return of the Morningstar.

Cerbshock refused, leading to the collapse of the alliance and the start of open conflict. Several Guardians were subsequently defeated during these engagements, while others were destroyed or vanished under unexplained circumstances. As a result, the Guardians are no longer allies, and their remaining members’ whereabouts and intentions remain uncertain.

Iconians

The Iconians were first encountered by Cerbshock during an alternate Andromeda timeline in 2553. While inspired by ancient Star Trek legends, this version of the Iconians was uniquely reinterpreted within Cerbshock’s universe, expanding their role into that of a primordial, reality-shaping species.

They were believed to be among the oldest beings ever documented, existing long before most known civilizations.

Discovery and Early Conflict

During this period, Cerbshock’s rival faction, Team Terminus, began actively pursuing rumors of the Iconians after receiving intelligence suggesting they possessed immense cosmic power.

Both factions searched through forgotten systems and lost ancient worlds, racing to uncover evidence of the Iconians’ survival.

Tashyyk: The Last Iconian

While exploring one of these ancient worlds, Cerbshock discovered a lone Iconian in cryostasis.

His name was Tashyyk.

He was believed to be the last surviving member of his species.

Recovered records indicated that the Iconians had once played a role in shaping a version of the Big Bang alongside the Guardian demigods, placing them among the most powerful entities ever known.

Alliance with Cerbshock

After being revived, Tashyyk chose to join forces with Cerbshock.

He traveled with them aboard his personal vessel, the Freemera, which contained coordinates pointing toward possible surviving Iconian worlds.

For a time, Tashyyk acted as both an ally and a living link to an ancient era of cosmic history.

Capture and Rescue

Tashyyk and the Freemera were later captured by Team Terminus, who sought to exploit the Iconians’ knowledge and power.

Cerbshock launched a major recovery operation.

The mission ended with:

  • Tashyyk’s rescue

  • The defeat of Terminus forces

  • The recovery of the Freemera

This marked a decisive victory during the Andromeda arc.

Departure and Legacy

Following the conclusion of the Andromeda storyline, Tashyyk chose to part ways with Cerbshock.

His reasons were never fully disclosed.

With his departure, the future of the Iconians became uncertain once more. Whether other survivors exist remains unknown, leaving their legacy suspended between myth, history, and unfinished discovery.

Djinn

The Djinn are an ancient, spacefaring, and war-driven species who, in Cerbshock’s timeline, fulfilled the role that the Reapers occupied in other realities. Rather than relying solely on massive singular constructs, the Djinn created vast fleets of autonomous, ghost-like warships—numbering in the hundreds, and later thousands.

These vessels were given spectral designations such as Spectre, Wraith, and Revenant, reflecting both their appearance and their intended role as instruments of extinction.

Unlike conventional empires, the Djinn did not merely conquer. They systematically erased civilizations through long, calculated campaigns.

The Djinn War and the Prothean Fall

Ancient records recovered from Prothean ruins—particularly on Ilos—indicate that the Djinn waged a galaxy-spanning war eons ago.

Using immense vertical warships such as the Spectre-class vessels, the Djinn are believed to have been directly responsible for the downfall of the Protheans.

These ships functioned as both command platforms and extinction engines, capable of coordinating mass destruction across multiple systems.

For centuries, the Djinn were believed to be extinct following this conflict.

Discovery of Djinn Technology

During early Cerbshock expeditions, the team uncovered multiple dormant Djinn vessels across forgotten worlds.

Most notably, they discovered the Spectre on a dust-covered storm planet.

This version of the Spectre was a prototype:

  • No weapons systems

  • No upgrades

  • No active control cores

It appeared to be an early test platform rather than a completed warship.

Later discoveries included fragments and remnants of vessels such as Wraith and Revenant, confirming the scale of Djinn manufacturing.

Idris: The Last Djinn

The assumption of Djinn extinction was shattered when Cerbshock encountered a mysterious artifact collector named Idris.

Initially presenting himself as a neutral researcher, Idris later revealed his true identity: the last known surviving Djinn.

Reluctantly, he entered into an alliance with Cerbshock, motivated more by necessity than trust.

Through Idris, the team learned that vast numbers of Djinn and their warships still lay dormant, awaiting activation.

The Radiant Order

The Djinn’s influence extended beyond their physical presence.

A fanatical religious movement known as the Radiant Order emerged, devoted to the worship of the Djinn as divine entities.

This cult gained significant power on Icaros IV.

During Cerbshock’s intervention on the planet, the Radiant Order’s leader was publicly destroyed by Idris himself, demonstrating both his disdain for the cult and his unwillingness to allow further manipulation of his species’ legacy.

The Spectre Upgrade Crisis

Cerbshock’s final major encounter with Idris occurred during the last upgrade phase of the Spectre.

It was revealed that fully activating the vessel would initiate a system-wide awakening protocol, capable of reactivating billions of dormant Djinn and warships.

Possession of the completed Spectre would have effectively restored the Djinn civilization.

During this crisis:

  • The Spectre became infected by the Revenant

  • Control systems destabilized

  • The ship began collapsing

Idris assisted Cerbshock’s escape.

He then deliberately drove the corrupted Spectre into a star, preventing mass reactivation.

Robotgirl survived the incident.

Idris was presumed dead.

The Purgatory Breakout

Idris later resurfaced during Cerbshock’s breakout from Purgatory Station.

As part of the rescue effort, he summoned surviving dormant members of the Djinn to assist in extracting the team.

This marked the last confirmed appearance of active Djinn forces.

Departure and Disappearance

Following the Purgatory operation, Idris parted ways with Cerbshock.

No further confirmed sightings have been recorded.

His ultimate fate, along with the status of any remaining dormant Djinn, remains unknown.

Current Status

  • The Djinn civilization remains functionally extinct

  • Large numbers of their ships are presumed dormant or destroyed

  • Idris’s whereabouts are unknown

  • No reactivation events have been detected

The Djinn are classified as a dormant existential threat, rather than an active enemy.

Summary

The Djinn were once the galaxy’s greatest destroyers.

They ended the Protheans.
They built fleets of spectral warships.
They nearly returned through the Spectre.

Through a fragile alliance with Idris, Cerbshock prevented their resurrection.

What remains is a legacy of extinction, forbidden technology, and unanswered questions—one that continues to shape Cerbshock’s history long after the Djinn themselves disappeared.

Eidolith

The Eidolith are super-ancient, crystalline lifeforms originating from a universe entirely separate from known galactic space. Unlike most recorded species, they are not bound to conventional physical laws, existing as living crystal entities infused with extradimensional energy.

They are extremely rare, with only a handful ever confirmed to exist.

The Destiny Cores

Cerbshock first learned of the Eidolith through a series of mysterious, egg-shaped artifacts known as Destiny Cores, often referred to as “galactic eggs.”

These artifacts possessed powerful indoctrination properties and were capable of influencing thought, loyalty, and perception.

Multiple factions sought to obtain them, including the rival group Stellar Vanguard Initiative (SVI).

Cerbshock launched a campaign to recover the cores first and prevent their misuse.

After securing all known Destiny Cores and defeating SVI, the true purpose of the artifacts became clear.

The World Seed and Dimensional Crossing

With the Destiny Cores assembled, Cerbshock discovered a massive construct known as a World Seed.

Activation of the Seed transported the crew into another universe entirely.

There, they encountered an Eidolith for the first time.

Elythos

Within this alternate universe, Cerbshock met Elythos, one of the few known Eidolith.

Elythos was ancient, highly intelligent, and deeply aware of interdimensional events.

Cerbshock pleaded for his assistance in the event of a future Djinn uprising.

After extended contact, Elythos refused.

He stated that his kind did not interfere in conflicts between lesser civilizations.

The Icaros IV Confrontation

Elythos later reappeared on Icaros IV, during a major crisis involving Idris.

When Idris attacked Cerbshock, Elythos intervened.

A battle followed between the two ancient beings.

The clash caused massive energy disruptions and demonstrated power far beyond conventional technology.

After the confrontation, both entities ceased hostilities.

They concluded that continued conflict was pointless.

Both Elythos and Idris agreed that the final upgrade of the Spectre posed an unacceptable risk to reality itself.

Disappearance

Following the events on Icaros IV, Elythos vanished.

No further contact has been recorded.

No Eidolith has been encountered since.

His destination and ultimate fate remain unknown.

Current Status

  • The Eidolith are considered functionally absent

  • Only Elythos has ever been confirmed

  • No known World Seeds remain active

  • No Destiny Cores are currently operational

They are classified as extradimensional entities rather than a conventional faction.

Summary

The Eidolith represent one of the oldest and most mysterious forces Cerbshock has ever encountered.

Discovered through the Destiny Cores.
Reached through the World Seed.
Represented by Elythos.

They chose non-intervention.

Their brief involvement helped prevent catastrophic escalation, but their withdrawal ensured that Cerbshock would ultimately face its conflicts alone.

Prothean

The Protheans were one of the most advanced and influential civilizations ever to exist in the galaxy. Long before modern species rose to prominence, they dominated interstellar space through superior technology, centralized governance, and vast scientific networks.

In Cerbshock’s timeline, the Protheans were not passive observers of galactic history. They were active architects of it—shaping early space travel, infrastructure, and knowledge systems that would later be inherited by younger races.

The Prothean Empire

At their height, the Protheans controlled hundreds of systems through a highly organized, hierarchical structure.

Their civilization was built on:

  • Advanced bio-engineering

  • Mass relay research and Citadel Construction

  • Long-range communication networks

  • Extensive data preservation systems

They believed in preparing for extinction-level threats, even when those threats were not yet fully understood.

This mindset would later define their legacy.

The Djinn War and Collapse

Ancient records recovered from Prothean archives indicate that their civilization was brought to ruin by the Djinn.

The Djinn’s spectral warships and long-term extermination campaigns gradually dismantled Prothean infrastructure and population centers.

Despite fierce resistance, the Protheans were unable to match the scale and persistence of Djinn warfare.

Realizing defeat was inevitable, Prothean leadership initiated contingency plans to preserve their knowledge and ensure future species would have a chance to survive.

Ilos and the Preservation Program

One of the most important Prothean refuge worlds was Ilos.

Beneath its surface, the Protheans constructed massive research and survival facilities designed to outlast the Djinn conflict.

These facilities served three primary purposes:

  • Preservation of Prothean genetic material

  • Storage of historical and scientific records

  • Development of long-term survival technology

Some Protheans entered cryostasis, while others committed their consciousness and data to automated systems.

Cerbshock Discoveries

During their operations on Ilos and other Prothean sites, Cerbshock uncovered extensive evidence of Prothean resistance efforts and final contingency projects.

Recovered logs revealed:

  • Early warnings about the Djinn

  • Failed countermeasures

  • Experimental weapons programs

  • Attempts to manipulate galactic infrastructure

These discoveries confirmed that the Protheans had known extinction was coming and had fought to delay it for as long as possible.

Prothean Survivors

Small numbers of Protheans are believed to have survived the collapse through cryostasis and hidden facilities.

Most were isolated, disconnected, and unable to rebuild their civilization.

By the time Cerbshock encountered surviving records and remnants, organized Prothean society no longer existed.

What remained were fragments of a once-dominant empire.

Prothean Technology

Prothean technology continues to influence modern systems.

Key characteristics include:

  • Hybrid biological–synthetic interfaces

  • Adaptive energy systems

  • Memory-encoded data structures

  • Self-repairing architecture

Many modern devices unknowingly incorporate modified Prothean designs.

However, full replication of Prothean systems has never been achieved.

Legacy in the Cerbshock Era

To Cerbshock, the Protheans represent both a warning and a foundation.

They were powerful.
They were prepared.
They still fell.

Their story demonstrates that technological superiority alone is not enough to survive cosmic-level threats.

Much of Cerbshock’s long-term strategy against entities like the Djinn and Guardians is informed by Prothean failures and successes.

Current Status

  • Prothean civilization is extinct

  • No unified survivors remain

  • Most facilities are inactive or destroyed

  • Data archives are heavily degraded

They exist now only through ruins, records, and influence.

Summary

The Protheans were the galaxy’s first great superpower.

They fought the Djinn.
They planned for extinction.
They preserved what they could.

Though their empire is gone, their knowledge continues to shape Cerbshock’s path—and serves as a constant reminder of what happens when even the greatest civilizations underestimate the scale of cosmic threats.

Collectors

The Collectors emerged as a major galactic threat during the late Cerbshock era, long before any direct contact was made with them. Although Cerbshock never formally encountered the Collectors in open conflict, reports of their sudden and coordinated attacks reshaped interstellar strategy across multiple systems.

News began circulating of entire colonies being raided or erased by massive Collector ships and a central mothership operating from deep within the galaxy’s core regions.

These attacks were swift, precise, and overwhelming.

Few survivors were ever recovered.

Emergence of the Threat

Unlike conventional pirate groups or military factions, the Collectors did not seek territory, resources, or political leverage.

Their incursions were systematic.

Colonies were targeted.
Populations were removed.
Infrastructure was left abandoned.

Intelligence suggested that their vessels operated using advanced, partially unknown technology far beyond standard military capabilities.

Without the presence of Reaper influence in this timeline, the Collectors were considered even more dangerous—unrestricted by external control and operating with full autonomy.

Strategic Impact

The scale of the threat made it clear that no single organization could confront the Collectors alone.

Neither Cerbshock nor Cerberus possessed the resources to counter a full Collector offensive using conventional means.

Fleet engagements were considered high-risk.
Direct assaults were deemed unsustainable.
Long-term containment was viewed as impossible.

As more reports surfaced, the possibility of galaxy-wide destabilization became increasingly likely.

The Andromeda Decision

Faced with a threat that could not be reliably neutralized, Cerbshock and Cerberus began preparing contingency plans beyond traditional defense.

This led to accelerated support for the Ark Program and the decision to commit resources toward intergalactic relocation.

The move to Andromeda was not viewed as retreat.

It was viewed as survival.

By leaving the Milky Way, both factions sought to preserve personnel, knowledge, and infrastructure in the event that the Collector threat escalated into full-scale extinction.

Intelligence Status

During this period:

  • No confirmed Collector strongholds were located

  • No direct communications were established

  • No successful countermeasures were developed

  • No reliable weakness was identified

All available data came from survivor accounts, sensor logs, and fragmented reconnaissance.

As a result, much of the Collectors’ true nature remains classified or unknown.

Current Assessment

Without Reaper oversight, the Collectors operate independently and unpredictably.

They are classified as an uncontrolled existential threat.

Their long-term objectives remain unclear.

Whether they are expanding, consolidating, or preparing for further campaigns is unknown.

Summary

The Collectors represent one of the few threats capable of destabilizing the entire Milky Way without warning.

They do not negotiate.
They do not retreat.
They do not operate within known political frameworks.

Their rise was a key factor in pushing Cerbshock and Cerberus toward Andromeda.

Not out of fear.

Out of necessity.
